The workspace is built around one idea: everything for the current connection is one click away, and nothing needs a second window.

The main areas of the workspace.

Connections sidebar#

Saved connections live on the left. Connect by clicking one, and expand it to browse schemas, tables, views and functions. Use the search to open any object without digging through the tree. Press to hide or show the sidebar.

  • Projects group connections, for example by client or environment. Drag a connection onto a project to move it, and drag within a project to reorder.
  • Colors tint a connection so staging and production are never confused. Set one in the connection form.
  • The current connection indicator always shows which connection and database your query will run against.

Query tabs and the editor#

Each tab holds its own query, results and connection, so you can keep staging and production open side by side. See Query editor.

Results grid#

Results appear under the editor. Sort, filter, search, edit cells, copy rows and export from here. See Results grid.

AI assistant#

Press to open the assistant beside your editor. It reads your schema and drafts read-only SQL. See AI assistant.

Command palette#

Press for the command palette, a fuzzy-searchable list of actions: run, format, open saved queries, open history, new connection, preferences, and more. Every shortcut is listed in Keyboard shortcuts.

Other panels#

  • Dashboards: pin saved queries as live widgets. See Live dashboards.
  • Database tools: ER diagram, server activity, roles and notifications for supported engines. See Database administration.
  • Preferences: theme, fonts, editor behavior, shortcuts and AI provider. Press .
